On the Other Side is an interactive exhibition that explores the ways we approach conversations surrounding death.
Death can be incomprehensible both in its occurrence and through speculation. While conversations around death can be filled with heavy emotions, this exhibition hopes to unravel the parallels between life and death through reflection, optimism, and curiosity about the unknown.
Problem Space
How might we create a space that invites individuals to reflect and discuss life and death?

Reflection
Working on this project at the Jacob Lawrence Gallery was a transformative experience for me, both as a designer and as a collaborator. Tasked with creating a space that encourages reflection on life and death, I honed my skills in physical prototyping, transforming abstract concepts into immersive, tangible experiences. This project deepened my understanding of how design can evoke emotion and curiosity.
Big shoutout to Ashten, Dustin, Elyssa, and Joyce— through all the design iterations, late nights in the studio, and bánh mìs from Saigon Deli, we made something so beautiful!
